They were proposed too late and are not binding on Obama's EEOC if his EEOC wants to change the rule they can do it.

Frankly, NOBODY in NELA would take a case that involved a termination for withholding treatment - we aren't that kind of attorney.

This looks like the latest from the Christian Reich lawyer Jay Sekulow and his ACLJ alternative to the ACLU.

It is also another example of the coalition between the Romans and Evangelicals over wedge issues.

I think it would be possible to limit what that career person does in their day-to-day duties.

Just because someone is burrowed in doesn't mean that they can't be made to sharpen pencils all day.

Yes, waste of resources and all...but eventually, they would leave to go to some winger think tank or what have you. If you're burrowed in but not able to function in your capacity to fuck up our country, eventually, you'll get bored for not being able to create chaos and wreak havoc on the people of this country.

One hopes, at least.

The articles we reproduce here are e-mailed to me and we put them up because they tend to be fairly well-thought out and balanced. We are asked to put a link up to their site, which we do, and some of the articles I agree with, some I don't. They help move the discussion along and I've gotten good and bad feedback on them.

Mainly, though, it's good to have your feedback on the article because that helps move the discussion along. Disagreeing with them--totally cool. Refute and blast away. That's what they're there for.

IF Obama says he wants Joe to stay - the Senate Club is happy.

Now, Obama isn't even in office yet. FDR wasn't FDR when HE took office.

Pandering to Joe isn't so much - CT will not send him back.

I despise Reid and Pelosi - but Joe was an ambitious man who wanted to climb one political rung higher. He has lost twice - and he knows that he doesn't have the support to win another Senate term.

Bernie Sanders (as an Independent he didn't have a vote) scorched Joe today, as did Leahy . Bernie did the same for Greenspan..... If only we had listened.....

60 Dem. Senate seats (OK, 58 + 2 independents) is a goal not to be sniffed at where the Rethugs filibustered more often in this Congress than at any time in the nation's history.

The AP says McPalin is setting up a 2010 campaign committee. Well, I doubt that he'll make that one....
